Benji and Carrie met through Hope Community Church. They are finishing their fourth year of medical school at the University of Minnesota. They plan to be married in February, 2008 prior to leaving overseas. >> READ MORE HERE
We will be taking an extended year of medical school to pursue medical missions in three nations: Nepal, India, and Bolivia.
Intended Dates of Service
- Nepal -– late February – late March, 2008
- India -- late March – end of May, 2008
- Bolivia – beginning of June – end of October, 2008

We believe this medical missions experience will provide us with exposure to new challenges and cross-cultural training experiences. Secondly, it will develop our medical skills with less reliance on modern technology. Third, it will provide a cross-cultural medical experience beyond what is possible in the US. Most importantly, we will get to see God work through medicine. We embrace the imagery of God being the potter and we as the clay. All that we are, including any skills gained through medicine can be molded for His purpose. In light of this, we eagerly anticipate this trip as the beginning of future long-term service in medical missions.
Airfare: ~$7000 Roundtrip
$3500/person based on best airfare quote. This does not include transportation within countries (Bus, train, etc.). We have included a flexible three weeks to pursue other medical ministry opportunities, primarily in India.
